Alex grew up with a simple, stubborn dream: own a food truck, serve real people real food, and turn a busy parking lot into a little celebration. He dreamed about it so long—and with so much detail— that the dream stopped feeling imaginary. It became a vision: clear, specific, and impossible to ignore.

Father & son

Alex was always close to his father. The vision wasn’t a solo act—it was a conversation. He shared every iteration with the man who knew him best, and his father listened the way fathers do when they recognize something true: patiently, proudly, and with quiet intensity.

Alex’s father saw more than ambition. He saw hospitality—a genuine love of people and a love of cooking that wanted an outlet in the community. Moved by that, his father didn’t just cheer from the sidelines. He stepped into the vision, imagined alongside Alex, and helped shape what would become the IcyDog™ and its specialties.

April 2026

Alex loved it. The name fit. The menu clicked. And in April 2026, the IcyDog™ was born in Kettering— a neon-bright ice cream and hot dog food truck built for the Miami Valley: fast lines, bold flavors, and the kind of “you have to try this” energy that turns customers into storytellers.

Where we roll

IcyDog™ operates across the tri-county region of Warren, Montgomery, and Greene counties. You’ll catch us often in Kettering, Ohio, along with Dayton, Beavercreek, Oakwood, Miamisburg, Yellow Springs, Lebanon, Franklin, Middletown, Springboro, and Xenia.
